Background/ Need:

The client asked us to remove 2 existing domestic hot water calorifiers, a plate heat exchanger, and two hot water circulation pumps and replace with new. They also asked that we insulate all new pipework and repair and repaint the local floor area.

Summary/ Solution:

We isolated local mechanical services to the existing hot water calorifiers, uplifted the existing worn calorifiers and plate heat exchangers and replaced with new.

We replaced both hot water circulation pumps. We chlorinated the vessels and local pipework and reinstated the mechanical services to the new calorifiers and we tested and commissioned the work. Finally we insulated all new pipework with foil faced fibre insulation with an external covering of aluminium, repaired and repainted the floor.
