Background/ Need:
We were engaged by the client to replace their existing boilers, hot water generators and 2 ventilation systems. The work involved the connection to existing services and the supply, delivery, off-loading, handling into position, erection, testing, insulating, setting to work, commissioning and leaving the services and apparatus in full working order.
Summary/ Solution:
There was a large amount of redundant equipment to strip out for this project, including 3 boilers, 2 gas fired hot water heaters, pumps, air handling units, toilet extract fan, redundant pipework and ductwork, controls and all accessories.
We fabricated the new required pipework at our Fareham facility and arranged for building works to be completed in readiness for the installation of the new equipment.
Once the strip out was complete, we fitted the new equipment including new boilers and pumps, a new hot water generator with connections to the existing heating system, new air handling units, new pipework and ductwork, and a new toilet extract fan. We cleaned any existing retained ductwork and flushed out all heating system pipework.
All electrical services were connected and new controls and outstation were connected to the existing BMS system. The whole system was tested and commissioned all services on completion of the works.
