Our client had various heating and ventilation issues within their warehouse and distribution centre and their office accommodation. Some of the issues were the result of poorly situated condensing units and gas fired heaters and also a lack of mechanical ventilation. The poorly situated equipment, as well as causing heating and ventilation issues, was also difficult to access to carry out maintenance.
The main part of the project was to reposition their existing 5 large condensing units from a mezzanine deck within the warehouse to their car park. This involved de-gassing the system, extending the A/C pipework, recharging and testing.
To further improve the climate we also fitted 4 high level heating/ cooling units within the warehouse, connected to individual air source heat pumps via refrigerant pipework. Control was interfaced to a BMS system. We also arranged for the required electrical and building works to be carried out as part of the project.
Some elements of the work were undertaken out of hours and we worked with the client to ensure that their business operation was not negatively impacted due to the work.
